About Me
Experienced hands.
I have worked in dentistry long enough to see the changes in regulations and to understand the difficulties with keeping up with the modern compliance standards.
I started my career as a GDC registered dental nurse in 2009, I have extensive experience in oral surgery, implants, orthodontics, endodontics and I am also SAAD sedation accredited. I have passed the mentor/witness accreditation scheme and I have helped several trainee dental nurses qualify.
However, for most of my career I chose to focus mainly on expanding my dental compliance knowledge and therefore I have developed quite a passion for it.
I have been an on site practice manager for four practices, two of which I was the CQC registered manager. I have passed three separate CQC practice inspections, all of which, I was the sole interviewee.
I was approached by three dentists , whom I have worked with at previous practices. All three dentists were purchasing their own individual practices and wanted some guidance in relation to setting up the new practices compliance and potential management assistance.
I wanted to help all of these practices develop and I realised that in order to help them all, I would need to adapt my compliance maintenance so that I could assist multiple practices equally, in a personal way, as if I was the onsite practice manager.
I am now the compliance manager of multiple dental practices.
All of my practices now have a personalised maintenance plan which enables me to visit practices and ensure the practice is compliant, whilst also assisting the practice with CQC inspections and HR when required.
